christmas withdraws

and we still think of you.  (You know who you are.)

This is how you get rid of your Christmas tree in Geneva.

Happy New Year.   We do hope your holidays were grand.  We stole away for a bit to see Pat, Christine, Mary, and Terry.  Leaving, as leaving does, did us all kinds of good.  There was much to savor...

Let's see, now,
there were forced read-alouds-turned-tradition,

surprises,

now-famous gourmet pique-niques
prepared by the Pique-Nique Queen herself, Christine,

as well as plenty of hiking,

dancing (in new dresses),

shucking & slurping of ersters,

Only Pat can take credit for the shucking, though.

and loitering about in good company.

Loved seeing everyone celebrating Christmas in the magical setting of Aix! Wish I could have been part of that pique nique, no one can compare to Christine's creations. Dance away, Aoife!!

So jealous of the fact that you're hiking and pique-niqueing away in beautiful weather. Miss you.
