Aoife and I (and Jude, by default) are now participants in the cooperative Pédibus system. It's basically a carpool...by foot. I walk with a handful of children down the hill of the old city once a week as they return home for their (two hour!) lunch break, and in turn, another parent walks Aoife and the others at a few other times during the week. It's a tidy, well-organized affair, and a nice addition to our weekly routine which allows us to get to know some neighborhood kids (and parents) at the same time.

Last week, International Walk to School Day took place. Take a peek at this video (which does NOT include us) to view some of the other St. Antoine walkers, bits of our path to school, and the way-too-early festivities.
(The section about St. Antoine school is at 5 minutes, 20 seconds.)

I love Switzerland. Always a step ahead. What a good idea!
Wow! Did Aoife get to walk with the clowns? They are awesome. It looks like fun.
